Bugs at the Branch 2
Lets organize a meeting spot to cruise together to the show.
Looks like 285 to 85 N to I-985 N to Exit 12 is the main route.
285 @ Moreland Ave. exit looks like a good spot for most of us coming from different directions. The gas station across Moreland Ave. @ the Interstate. Will have to go down Moreland a short bit and do a U-turn.
If anyone has a better spot lets hear it. Thought I'd throw this idea out there. Still don't know what time we need to meet. Google maps is saying around 50min from the gas station on Moreland to the address of the show.

Meeting place sounds good to me! I can leave out at any time. From the pictures of last year's event, it looks like it is a crowded show, so we shouldn't leave to late if we want a decent spot.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
You should try to met up with our crew at Discover Mills Mall. We are meeting between 8:00 and 8:30 and then cruising to a Target near the show for the police escorted cruise into the show.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Sounds good Malik, we'll let you know.
Airheads, I'm up for anytime. Are ya'll wanting to do the police escort thing, or cruise in a little later? If we want to do the escort we probably need to meet around 8:00, to get to the meeting place by around 8:50. Or if we want to just roll in on our own around the start of the show, we could meet around 9:00.
Hopefully the weather outlook will improve slightly.

I haven't heard. May want to check here before heading out, though I have no idea if they would update it that quick.

Maybe Billie will post something Saturday morning and let us know.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
If we do the parade thing we just need to meet at Discover Mills and cruise with the Addicts.
Other wise I would say meet Moreland Ave. at 8:00 then roll! As Eric said that would put us at the Branch around 8:50.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
I talked with Billie earlier and they have no plans of cancelling the show. See ya there!
Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Man we are some slackers! Ya'll just want to meet at moreland ave around 8, then cruise to the Target for the police escort?

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Bob and I plan to be passing by Moreland around 8. I'll check the site in the morning, so if you plan on being at the gas station, let us know. If know one responds, we'll probably just pass on by and not exit, so let us know. Hope for decent weather!

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Bob, Mike and I were on 285 when my drivers side wiper came loose and quit wiping. Exited at Hwy 78 and made it to a gas station. Fixed the wiper then thought about all the rain we had just driven through. Bob and I decided to turn back, it was just to nasty and the radar this morning looked like it would just keep coming. We waited til the rain let up a little and headed back, but it quickly started pouring again. My wipers suck bad, but luckily the water just beads up on the plexiglass.
Turbo Mike is a trooper! He decided to finish the ride and went on to the show. Hope he has a good time and others turn out.
My car is going to have to be a fair weather car for the time being until I can figure out were the gallons of water that made their way onto my floorboards came from. Bob, you thought your leak was bad, when I pulled up my rubber mats, I about died. Spent 45 minutes wringing out my floor padding and getting everything dry. Think I'm just going to have to go around the inside and outside of the pan/heater channel mating surface with some sealer. The rubber gasket just doesn't seem to be doing the trick.
All in all, it was an adventure. A little over 100 miles in a downpour. I hope the show turned out good, but I just didn't want to go any further.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
I've removed my floor carpet, both sides are wet. This is the first time that the drivers side has gotten this wet. But then again I don't think I've been out in this much rain fro this long. I will dip mine out and measure it for all of ya. I'm sure it is close to a gallon!!
I think you are right Eric, I think the aftermarket gasket must not be thick enough. I would like to pick the body up enough to put sealer on top of the gasket and body to really seal it off.
Sorry that I didn't see your phone call, my phone is a POS!!!

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Well here ya go....
It was a little over a Gallon and I didn't catch what ran out of the carpet that was hanging up. Oh yeah the drivers side has water but not this much.
Thats some nasty water!

That's hilarious...well not really, but kinda. Mine was about that same brown color as well. I have noticed just a faint wetness behind the drivers seat a few times after driving in light rain, but this stuff today was just everywhere on the drivers side and rear passenger side. The front passenger side stayed fairly dry.
No problem on the missed call. That was from when I had talked to Mike, I was gonna let you know why I was driving so slow since we were waiting for him to catch up (which didn't take long at all thanks to the turbo).
I'll see that 62 some other time Malik. I'm with you, I don't know if my car will be out again in rain like what we had today. I don't mind some showers, but we went through some pretty heavy stuff. On the plus side, the ragtop didn't leak a drop!

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
You guys need some beaters you can drive in the rain. Don't blame ya for tuning back today. No sense in driving to a show that's being rained out.
