I went 40mm each side 80mm total and mine are upagin the body. 80mm =3.2" so almost 3-1/4"
5" is a no go.

Hell cut the body out, You know that by doing this you loose turning radius? Mine is the limit, I have my stock turning radius and full wheel travel. If you are tucking some wide ass tires under there then go a head but otherwise I'd only do whats needed.

I'm sure it's possible, but at 5 inches, I doubt you have enough beam sticking out past the wheel well to to even mount a shock tower. If there is any room at all, you could get some plates like these and mount them at the very end of your beam.

You'd have to run linkpin style shocks with these.

I've also seen some gusseted ones that go over then up, but couldn't find an ad with them.
