We rolled into Birmingham today around 11:30 today in the middle of a blizzard!! pale It snowed all afternoon, accumilating to about 3". It finally stopped around nightfall and the skys are clear now.

My son was driving today (with his learner's permit) and we saw 2 cars that went off road, and saw 5 or 6 places where the car went off, but must have been towed out of.

there is a guy who lives off the main road i drive down everyday, who has really nice grass. i couldn't tell ya how much that guy spends all year round keeping his lawn nice and pretty. even during the winter, i always see landscaping guys out there fixing it up. well, it seems his lawn is always the target for things. everytime it snows, someone always seems to skid off the road across his grass. a while back, the city re-did the roads, and they left about a foot wide trench on the side of the road, of mud, and clay. and the next day i saw landscapers re-sodding that area, making it look nice.

Well, it seems someone, during this snow skidded off the road, and smashed into a tree across his lawn. the tree had some bark missing, but it seems, the car was still operable, as right at the tree, you can tell where the guy must have floored it, as there are huge muddy skidmarks, where his tires were just digging into the ground, andmust have just drivin off, leaving one set of tire marks where he skid off the road, and a second set, where his tires tore up his yard trying to get out. Laughing . i feel bad for the guy, tho. he put a lot of money into that lwan. i'm sure i'll see some landscapers out there within the next couple of day tho, lol.
