Ok guys, this may be the reason why I cant find a gear. Im assuming because that plastic piece is broke that its not letting the little ball stay in the shifting linkage?  Would anyone have a spare/used/new/cheap factory shifter laying around would they?help me get her back on the road. the weather is perfect. 20131015_185656

That must be an empi shifter. I may have one from a 67, but I will have to look this afternoon. I am in Rome though, but it would be free.
