Bumper repair Empty Bumper repair

Hey,

I had someone reverse into my 1971 Karmann Ghia this week and they have dented the front bumper. Its going through the insurance company as a claim against the idiot who drove into me.

Any suggestions - since this is going through insurance/money's no object - of where I can either get my bumpers repaired/re-chromed (the accident dented and scratched the bumper plus there is an old dent from the PO) and refitted or where to get new bumpers from?

I have 69-71 style bumpers - you can see in my profile pic.

Cheers,

Joanna

Yep, I used Southern Bumper Exchange to rechrome my vent window frames and some door handles a few years ago. Price was fair (but you don't have to worry about the price Laughing ). Turnaround time was slow, they told me the wait list was about 4-6 weeks, ended up taking about 7 weeks. these were small parts they don't usually mess with and not big money for them, so for a large bumper ($$$), I'd imagine they'd probably move a little quicker. The parts have been on for over two years now and the chrome has held up very well so far.

Cool, thanks for all the suggestions. Will keep you posted on who I end up using. Just waiting for the estimate from the insurance company.
