Re: 71 Bay-HULAWGN
big motor installed before bulli and key west trip, 3000 miles now no problems, gobs of power. Dyno tuned last thur and picked up 16 more horseys with some linkage adjustment. 101 RWHP 117 torqe and peaking at 4500 rpm. Only ran it up to 5600. very pleased. Thankx to Mike for all his help and expertise. oh yeah, air fuel right at 14.5 to 1, getting great mileage when I keep my foot out of it.

Russell's automotive in hampton for Dyno. 95$ for 3 pulls and 1 hr. not a bad deal. Mr. Russell does it himself and is very knowledgable and helpfull.

As Glenn's the one who got me addicted to VW's, I'll allow that yes he does own me to 5mph and my wife hates him.

Re: 71 Bay-HULAWGN
Started on new interior panels a few days ago, 7 down and 7 left. Had to make 8 new ones out of 5mm ply as some of the original were totally shot. Now I know why auto upholstery shops charge so much for their expertise!!! The hula girl interior is gonna look killer.
Using 1/4 foam under fabric and 3m 77 spray adhevisive, { thanks Tanbug}

Wife found it online for 10 bucks a sq yard. Really good deal, don't remember what site. I'll have to have her tell me and post it.
