71 Bay-HULAWGN
Went to the nearest spray and wash after that pic.
In the process of getting a new narrowed and lowered beam, horseshoe plates on the rear, and new front floor patches installed by Billie at StockOrNaut.

Re: 71 Bay-HULAWGN
Got the Wagon back, looking bada$$ with a 4 inch narrowed adj beam, wagons west drop spindles and horshoe plates on rear, new front floor patches welded and primed. Thank you StockOrNaut, Billie did a awesome job for a fair price. I got to learn how to weld. Next upgrade will be a rebuild on my old case to a 1776 or 1835 using the scat engine kit.

Ride's good, just a little stiffer. Need to get some shorty shocks for front so it can be lower. Rubbed the front twice on I 75 coming back from cumming.

Unfortunately not going to winter jam, will be skiing in Banff the week before and don't have time off {or moola}, for Daytona.

Re: 71 Bay-HULAWGN
In 1974 my family moved cross-country in a green '71 that looked a lot like yours. I was 7. It sure brings back memories seeing yours.
Re: 71 Bay-HULAWGN
Thankx for the comments. My family had many VW's, 74 bay that hit a cow and 76 bay, in central FL with no AC, those brown vinyl seats were sticky.

new shocks
Finally put some new shocks on the front. KYB gr2 for 54$ for the pair. Huge improvement on the way she rides.

I am running GR2's on my front too. I like the ride better than the corvette shocks I had on there before! I'm gonna go with the white KBY gas adjusts on the back eventually.
