Wow! I didnt know you guys were going swimming yous should let some one know.....hahaha Hopefully all of that water didnt hurt anything.
Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
the show was WET- dont the most comfortable drive there and back ether- my bias ply tires start getting sketchy around 60- the super wet roads dont help. But it was cool- really good turnout
Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
Started to head out this am but the bottom dropped out / Looks like you braved the water well.
Hope the Chili kept some of the rain away.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
i had a great time at the show. bought a few things, and talked to a bunch of great people. also got to put some faces to usernames as well, lol.
BUT.
The real adventure didn't start for me on my way home. i left the show about 1:15 because i had to work today at 5pm. i had some lunch, and started down the highway. about 10 minutes down the highway i'm driving and happen to see far in the distance some cars (well just their taillights, through the rain), when all of a sudden, i see one pair of taillights go up and dissapear. when i get to where the car was, it turns out the car (some newer car, thunderbird? tarus?) had rammed into the gurter ( fence dividing north and south bound) and flipped over once and landed on its wheels . i pull over and the lady was still in the car. i had to yank on the door till i was able to bend the hell out of it, and get it open. but here's the kicker. THERE WAS A VERY YOUNG KID IN THE REAR (about 6years old). the car was completely destroyed, but the motor was still running (go figure). neither of them were hurt. not even a scratch. i think the lady was in shock, because i don't think she even knew what happend. They were incredibly lucky, because that could have ended so much worse. the cops came, and an ambulance. they shut down the whole south bound highway to let the paramedics come in. i took some pics of the car. i'll upload them later.
If you happend to leave the show and went down i-985 south, then you know why the traffic was so bad, lol.

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
see, thats your problem. a bug is not supposed to be that nice, thats why your and bob's is leaking.......and why i am dry. a POS will never leak, because all of the crud, and dirt is whats holding these little cars together, hahaha , just kidding

Re: Bugs at the Branch 2
I really enjoyed shooting the sh*t with ya today Mike. Despite the less than desirable weather, I had a blast DRIVING my car out today and meeting new faces, and seeing old friends too. I guess Tim and I got headed south before the mayhem started- way to be there Mike, in the clutch man- VW people are some of the best walking the planet- and you demonstrated why! Hope eveyone else had as good a time as I did....see ya'll soon! :Rockit:
(I got some pics too- I'll post 'em tonight)
