Looks like you could cut it up and make it into some cool wall art.

Someone will buy it. It had some good parts. If it was down the street we might have grabbed it but after 4hrs we did not want to put the 8 hrs in to drag it out.

Maybe we just "dont kno bugs" or its because youre not a "serious volkswagen enthusiast" so we wouldnt understand why 5k gets me a non idling car without a decklid , horrible non matchin rims and aerosol overhauled trim.

Yeah, the late model cars really need the additional fiberglass scoops to trap even more moisture in that area. That way they can rot from the outside and the inside at the same time.

Here's a pic I took of the one I removed off the 72 bus at pull-a-part when I got the rear bumper. Slightly different angle, but based on the coloration, I'd bet these are the exact same hitches. If anyone is interested in this one, just be aware the seller probably paid $35 for it, so keep that in mind when you make an offer. Not to mention the fact I did all the dirty work wrestling with rusty bolts for 30 minutes

Haha, well, like I said, I used the bumper off that bus, so the trailer hitch came off when I removed the bumper. I didn't need the hitch, so I left it behind in case somebody else could use it. I don't think there were any dibs on it that I know of . I have no idea who it is selling it (hope I haven't offended anyone on the site, if they are on here). Pull-a-part list trailer hitch receivers at $27. I got nothing wrong with making a buck or two here and there off parts you run across, but a 650% mark-up seems like a harsh way to treat fellow VW brothers. I'm just into these old cars for fun, so I typically like to pass things along dirt cheap (or often times for free) and hope to be rewarded with good VW karma!
