trans swap
I feel like an idiot right now- installed trans put the engine in and then relized I cant get it to shift at all- I cant get it to go into any gear.- I just had the engine bolted in- so i slid it back off the input shaft and still can not shift at all. I had to swap hockey sticks/ nosecones and i cant the hockey stick to budge.
Should I be able to shift through the gears with the engine out?

Re: trans swap
hey dude i had the same prob. when i changed the nose cone on mine...theres a 2 lil peaces that looks like lil squears stickin up by the gears when u take the cone off. and in the cone is that lil shaft that is hook shapes with a lil ball on the end..if you dont have that hook shaped shaft layin in the squear shaped peaces with slitts in them correctly then the car want shift into gear right..lol..sorry i dont know what the peaces are called dude.its har to explain..but i hav had the same prob. in the past
