Kidney Beetle

Trying something new. I have been thinking about doing some kind of a build off for a while now. My Dad recently passed and I had a strong urge to make something happen. Hope to have multiple teams compete in a friendly competition and to make this a yearly event. Each team will be in charge of their build and ultimately what they end up doing with their vehicle. For my team after completion we will auction/sell the car off and donate the proceeds to the Kidney Foundation.
We have been donated a 1974 Super Beetle named Chigger from Bob aka rpm750. Bob had a vision for the car when he picked it up from his brother in law which also was the original owner. He wanted to build a German Look Super Beetle. I would like to stay with his vision as I think it will make the most out of the car. The car was a daily driver not long ago until a reoccurring front brake issue parked the car. It is being donated without the engine and transmission as Bob needs those for another project he is working on.
We will gladly accept all donations! It can be monetary, parts or labor. Anything donated that we can't use we can trade or sell to get what we do need. Hope to have a blast with this project!

Only major thing wrong with the body is some rust in the doors. James Norris came thru with a set of doors that are in very good shape!

Still accumulating parts. I am donating a set of 16" Porsche phone dials for this project. I also have one brand new 215/55/16 GT Radial Champiro that someone gave me so I am just looking for a second one so we can have a matching pair and put it to use.
