What did you do to your volkswagen today?

Finished the brakes up on the 56 hardtop.
Adjusted and bled the brakes out on the 57 ragtop and put on transaxle boots.(Thanks again Big Daddy and David)
Started gathering up all the parts for the 56 ragtop, MIGHT be selling this one.
Busy weekend, I'll be glad to go back to work Monday so I can rest.

Played hooky from work today, stripped the left rear fender that came with Geek as a replacement. Got some paint on it will wet sand and buff later!

Fixed a leaking pushrod tube. Installed remaining engine tin. Installed that big old gasket that seals of the engine compartment. Took of the wheels and gave them a coat of white rustoleum and threw 'em in the back of the truck with the tires I bought from ASBug on Saturday. Taking them to get mounted tomorrow.

You should be getting pretty good at that. you know the two holes around the edge of the hubcap (for the puller tool), you need to tie a strong piece of string through those holes, then attach the other end of the string to one of your lugnuts. That way when you lose a hubcap, it stays near by.

how the hell did you lose a hubcap??? Its such a PITA to get them off, i don't see how one could come off, short of running straight into curb at 40mph. and i've done that before, and it still didn't pop off

Started the sound system in the German Look. Almost got the sub box complete. Should finish it up tomorrow. Could not have done it with out the help of my buddy Mason. He loves to hang out with his dad, and I love it to.

Took the "new" tires I bought from ASBug up to Firestone on my lunch hour to get mounted and balanced.

Ordered brake parts for the Thing so that it might stop some day!

Tried to put on the new tires. Got two on only to find the left front lug nuts so rusted that I twisted my tire iron about 45 degrees and didn't budge the lug nuts.

replaced steering damper and got the big bolts broken loose on the rear drums

Ordered the last of the stuff I need to get my car running...I hope!

Took her for a drive up to church to pick up my daughter and her friend. They were excited to ride in the bus. Still can't figure out where in the world the rust is coming from that keeps clogging the filters. Definitely much better since I scrubbed the tank but still not clean enough for a road trip.

i will send bryce a couple today and he can post them oh it happened had to cut the jack points off the floor bords an trim the iner fenders for the balljoint shock towers
