February 21st Get-Together

Since Valentines Day is on a regular meeting day I am pushing it back a week.

Time: 2pm

Sorry won't be able to make it. Will be in simulator trying to make it fly that day. I would rather be at sonic!

I'd like to come, I'm disappointed my bug isn't ready yet. seems I'm building an engine and no car to put it in, I want to order a turnkey but have other work to do on it and having some back issues right now. I have ordered new brake lines, master cylinder, springs kits. will still need to take the tank out for a cleaning, get some new tires on the empi's and clean it up real good. I still have my eye on another bug that's sitting in a tree line, need to convince the owner to sale it to me before the rust starts. His brother has a 74 SB that's been sitting for awhile and I hear these two are hoarders, may be a tough buy. Can I come anyway, please[/b]

Sure no car is required. Just come out and enjoy the cars and most importantly the people.

great news, I think my daughter will let me borrow my vw back for a few hours that Saturday.  I think I might need a big shoehorn but it will be fun to drive.  things just aren't right when you have to ask your kid to borrow the car

it might just depend on the weather, I went to my 1st last month, saw some nice VW's and a dedicated crowd

Some times its just a couple of people and sometimes there's 15-20......just depends.....the more the better! You should hook up with Eric (fluxcap) and Bob (RPM750) in Newnan and cruise over with them when they make it out.

I may not make it. Have to figure out an odd click/thud noise that I picked up in my brakes on the Florida trip last weekend. Haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet and don't really like driving it with a funky brake issue. The bug's transaxle is currently getting rebuilt so that car is down now also.

I will come out this time, if I don't have to work. The bus getting ready but not there yet.
