Wiring for DiggerD
It must have been the coffee because I had a major brain fart. I did not factor in the VR when we were talking about your bus. Make sure you have voltage at the alt (while running) and out of the VR. The indicator will run off of one leg of the VR. This is a generator schematic but it should mimic the alternator unless it's internally regulated. I'll still come over and have a look soon.
Re: Wiring for DiggerD
Yeah, it was converted to an internally regulated alternator. I think the problem is with the gen indicator light in the speedo. From what I've been reading it has to be hooked up right or the alternator won't charge. I am gonna trace that wire back to the dash pod first chance I get and see if it connected to the light.
Maybe a bus wiring party is in order?
Drinks on me!!

Re: Wiring for DiggerD
OK, got in there and it looks like the wire (15) from the coil to the fuse block is toast, and also a wire from the fuse block to the ignition switch is cooked as well. The wire from the oil sender to the oil light is MIA, and there are several hacked in wires that look suspicious.
