Picking up a 1974 std next week. Who does media blasting

Does it need to be completely stripped? Not looking for a show paint job. Just want a very nice professional finish repaint of the original african red.

Looking for any and all tips and recommendations about how to proceed.

The car is a one owner with minimal surface rust and recently new pans.

Soda blast bad areas and touch it up have paint blended then buffed and roll it.

If you are going to have any blasting done you are better off doing the entire car. It is nearly impossible to match and blend new paint to the 40 year old paint. If there is no major damage and your not having to do any panel work. Sense you are going back to the factor color you would be better off just having the whole sanded primed and spayed. Old paint is an enamel new paint is now two-stage base with a clear coat on top which last a lot longer. I have been paiting cars for 30 years never seen blending and burning new paint into older paint work looks like a patched car. Also paint being that ald and you try to buff it there is a good chance the old paint will burn. I would just find a shop like Maco or something like that you can get the whole car spayed cheap and it would cheaper than the other option.
