Who are we, why are we here, and where can you find us?

We are a youth ministry focused on Mentoring Men While Rebuilding Volkswagen Beetles. Located at 304 North Cross Rd, Gray, GA 31032. You can reach us at 478-297-7180

Our purpose is to mentor young men in their walk with Christ, while teaching them how to restore Volkswagen Beetles. We also model for them Christ's unconditional love by giving these vehicles to those in need.

In the fall of 2006, John Albrycht, the Youth Pastor at Plentitude Baptist Church involved his youth group in the secret restoration of a 1971 VW Beetle. The project was dubbed "Bugs4Christ" and the Beetle soon became an object lesson in how God wants to restore our hearts to a right relationship with him. John wanted his youth to understand the mandate of Hebrews 10:23-25: "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching!" He wanted his youth to feel the power of encouraging others by restoring and giving the gift of unconditional love to the owner of the vintage car. Since that first incredible project, the members of this ministry have been involved in several other restoration projects and a Mission Trip to Pueblo Pintado, NM, where they restored a bug in just 7 days, complete frame off restoration, and gave it away on the reservation, restored 6 other Bugs to give to people in need, and built a seven day restoration Beetle that was auctioned off for the Methodist Children's Home of Macon.

If these three things are done the way God intended, it is truly amazing to see the growth in these young people, and truly inspiring to watch them grow and pass it on to someone else.

We meet every Monday at 7PM at our shop in Gray, we welcome anyone to come out and work on cars with us. We have room for about 6 cars in our shop and it's usually full of projects. If you want to have a good time, like working on VW's or just want to hang out, come see us.

Starting on Thursday, November 14th our Meeting times will change for the winter to Thursday Nights at 7PM.

Thanks John, forgot to change it on here. We will be meeting Tonight, Monday, November 11th, and the following two Mondays 11/18 and 11/25, the week after Thanksgiving we will move to meeting Thursday Nights, starting 12/5.

Im no where near gray ga either but i like what you guys do. We need more christians incorporating their love of giving into this hobby. Maybe one day there will be a chapter closer to rome. I would love to get involved.
