Re: Job Market
The place I work at is hiring in Marietta. however since the new owner took over the focus went from quality to quantity, they have made no changes to our processes, they hire temps and have to share tools, there is no leadership. They expected these new temps to produce miracles, most of them can't show up for 40 hrs . I worked 58 hrs last week. Most of the time everyone works about 48.The jobs are complex, not simple like, do this, then this, then do this. There are no written processes and a lot of on the fly adjustments. You will be working with Aluminum and steel and fiberglass and screws nuts and bolts and rivets. There is a lot of drilling, very physical. You have to be mechanically inclined, construction oriented. automotive oriented. You work in the heat inside a building. It is temp to hire you start at 10.00 then, if you get hired on, I think 13.50 which is very good in my opinion but there is a lot of bs. The temp service is ranstadt on barrett parkway. I would call and ask them first. the bottom line is, if we have the work and you are a good employee you will probably be hired on. I hold out hope that it will get better, but I can't point to anything positive to help me believe that it will. Re: Job Market
Conditions sound like where I work, except your pay is a few dollars better for temps and fulltimers.
My two cents? Your pay improves as you get closer to the city.
