Oil dripped after change.

I changed the oil in my bug today, put everything back together, wiped the underside and went back inside the house. Came back outside 3 hours later and saw a couple drips of oil. Is that normal?new gaskets and strainer too.

U put new copper rings around the studs and drain plug

The drips don't line up with the sump plate. I'll look in the morning

Since the drips don't line up with the plate, maybe you spilled a little bit when filling and it just worked down around the cylinder tins?

It's dry under the sump plate and the drips are offset by a couple inches. Maybe im crazy

If there is notmabigger puddle under there in the morning I go with the idea that there was some spill over. Possibly from the draft tube.
