Replacing Windshield Seal In Bus
We have the seal for our bus, but need help putting it in. Can anyone recommend someone? We are replacing the old one with a new cali style, but there is rust under the front window ( the usual ), and we need to repair that also before putting in the new seal. We usually drive to NC for help with the VW's, as there is an awesome shop there called Sunset VW's. But thats a hell of a ride right now, so I figured we would ask around first!

Re: Replacing Windshield Seal In Bus
If you want to make a ride to Augusta we can do it.
We just finished a bus that had bad rust holes around the windows.

That sounds like a really good plan. How much do you guys usually charge for repair work? We have a few other spots we would like to have fixed also before they get any worse.

You can give me a call #706-799-5375.
If its not rusted to bad it will cost whatever you think it's worth and will fix while you watch.

If its possible, I can send you a few pics of the rust spots and you can let me know if you think its bad. I know its a common spot for it to happen on the buses.

Re: Replacing Windshield Seal In Bus
Ok, here are some pics I snapped today.
The first is where my brother took it to be fixed and painted when he had it, and they guy just stuffed fiberglass in a hole, and freaking painted it. Unbelieveable how idiotic and low down some people can be. The problem did not show up until the pieces from the body started to flake and fall off. Next are two pictures of the window area. It is basically rusted out right below the seal, all the way across.
