Re: Long over due updates
I hated the fiberglass fenders. Having new ones fabricated and getting rid of the clunky baja tail lights. I've got some Harley lights from a 1950s military bike that will be mounted in the new fenders.
I also needed to do something about the door stops so I cut up a couple of leather belts and screwed them in to the doors. Works great.

love the seats this thing looks alot better than the before pic and it was sharp then i like creativity. i think most ppl can build a stock one (which i like) but it takes a special mind to build something radical and make it look good.

The more I see of this, the more I like it! (and get more ideas) Like I said on VR, I really like the seats. Would you have any build pics or plans for them? I also like what you have done with the former back seat area. (more ideas ) Keep up the good work.
Nice shot of the family with the rod.

Thanks. The seats were actually purchased from a vendor on the volksrod site. Iron ace bomber seats. They have a few different options and a pair of seats actually costs close to what it would cost in materials to make. They come as a clear coated Steele seat and you basically figure out how to mount or paint. They sell mounting hardware if you need it but I just welded mine on hinges to the stock sliders. Hinge in front so I can tilt them forward if I need to get in the back. I welded a metal loop on the back and used leather belts to keep the seat from bouncing.

Nah.. Been driving daily for a year now. Atlanta summers have been fine. I have a cushion. And I never wear shorts. Short pants are for kids. Ha.
