June 1960 Beetle
well this is june. i picked her up this last week. 1960 98% original...complete. pans are shot but everything else looks really good and all is there. plans are 6in beam. drop spindles. new pans all new brakes. drop plates... ragtop graft. and enjoy the p.o. said it was drove to it last resting place and parked bc of the pans beings bad. so im sure she will run. engine looks fairly clean... spins easy, has compression. and oil was clean and level correct. i may just try to trade the 36hp for a good running 1600 but not sure yet.

just noticed i have the same washer pump installed on mine minus the dishwashing bottle
I guess tht was a dealer accessory. Any idea where the car was originally sold?

Re: June 1960 Beetle
lets see ive been working hard and gettin parts when i have time. works been killin me w the 70-80hrs a week but the freetime i do find ive been in my garage... pulled the tranny out and cleaned it. put all new seals on it. fresh fluid and clearenced the bellhousing along w new mounts. got my pans and heater channel bottom repair plates. i got the driver side repair pate welded in along with the driver pan half welded in. rebuilt my pedal assembly. cleaned and sealed my gastank. cleaned and painted my drums... ordered all new brakes. cyls, lines, ect... along with some wheel adapters for the fuchs i picked up hopefully by the end of the week ill have both pans in, sealed up, all the brakes lines ran and cyls hooked up. tranny in. then i can focus on getting my wheels blasted, tires, drop plates, 6in beam, flipped spindles. then that sould leave me with figuring out witch way i want to go w my motor.
