1979 body swap

hey everyone, does anybody know if 79 bus is the same as a 79 camper body. is there thing any special on the camper body that is not the same as the bus body. thank's everybody

I don't think you can just swap bodies like a bug, buses are a uni-body design. Not to say it can't be done, it would require a lot of cutting and welding, and also you run the risk of the whole body folding up once it is removed from the support rails.

They do have a frame under them but it is all welded together. The best advice I could give is to use your existing body and transfer everything from the camper over to yours. The only difference would be if it have a hole in the roof or not.

i think i worded wrong, i ment to say swap the camper stuff to the bus body

In that case, as far as I know, all should swap out just fine.

that good to here. i'm looking at a 79 camper ,the body has alot of rust but the in side look ok

well i got green 79 camper off craigslist all the camping suff looks good. i's been off the road sent 2000 but it been drove around the yard alittle, it hasn't driven for years. the roof is camper only , the roof channels are bad and alot of rust. any idea on swaping roofs, i haven't took any thing apart yet to see the braceing. ok next problem the man friend try to jump the camper off backward what would pop, i check fuses, all good put a good battery in it and the battery light is staying on. the starter just clicks like a relay noise. any help would be great thank's
