Dec 1 Watkinsville Christmas parade TODAY !!!!

This year's Christmas parade is Saturday December 1st. The theme is 'Twas the Night Before Christmas in Watkinsville'.

Please post here if you will be participating. I need to let the organizers know the number of vehicles so they can plan enough space for us.

It does start at 11:00 and we line up and decorate our cars starting at 10:00. We usually meet at McDonalds in Watkinsville at 9:00. More details to come.

It is in front of the Publix grocery store at Butler's Crossing.

The easiest way to find it is to follow Hwy 53 in from 316 till you see Publix on the left.

It looks like we have 20 cars coming. When I told the organizers that, they almost fell out. They didn't say to cut back so we'll go with 20.

The easiest way to find the line up spot is to meet at the McDonalds in front of Publix. We usually start meeting there at 9:00 am. If you want to eat breakfast there arrive close to 9:00 so you have time to eat. 9:45 is pull out time, so be there by then. Steve or Clyde will lead you to the line up/decorate spot.

I probably won't be in the parade as I am going to the SEC championship game. GO DAWGS!!!!

I'm taking suggestions for how to decorate the bus.

Bring tinsel garlands and maybe a wreath for the front of the bus and maybe wrapped packages for the inside or for the roof Whatever it is will be fine

Typical decorations are weaths front and/or rear (even have had them wired onto each wheel), bows, lights, presents on roof or in luggage area, etc... Just make it look festive and you'll be fine.
We have had bus owners put trees and lights inside and drive with the slider open. Have fun with it.
