Here's some tricks i do to keep my engine running cool as possible.
#1. A clean oil fee shroud!
#2. no external oil coolers bolted to the air inlet on the back of the shroud. (Your drawing hot air through the HOT oil cooler BACK into your engine! ; (
#3. Timing. 30 Deg. Total advanced is best for hot driving in Georgia.
Run your carb or (carbs) a little on the rich side.
#4. plug Fresh air outlets with freeze plugs or ?? during hot season and then reverse during winter.
#5. Run good fuel. at least mid-grade.
#6 Engine tin, front tin and engine compartment seal intact! A must.
#7 Power pulleys give you a very small amount of rev power and decrease the fan RPMS conciderably!
#8. clean engines breath better and disapate heat better.
#9. Keep oil changed regularly.

Hope these tricks help, Please let me know if I can be of any help.
