Aug 24 Show and Shine at All Around Restos

The Athens club along with Joey of All Around Restos in Gainesville are sponsoring a FREE Show and Shine/swap meet on August 24. We'll start at 9:00am. Joey's shop will be open for touring and viewing his latest projects. There will be camping on Saturday night before the show. Our club will be cooking and selling hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks on Sunday.

We did this last year when we found out the wasn't going to be a Southestern Bugfair and it was a really good time. There is no Bugfair this year either, so make plans to come to Gainesville.

Last year was a good time at All Around Resto.

All Around Restos in Gainesville is a great Bug shop and I hope to be there!!!!!!

Sunday shows are always good for me. Maybe I can make it up there without shooting 10ft flames out of my exhaust this time.

whats wrong with shooting 10 ft flames?

Last year, on the way to Gainsville, The AirHeads were rolling in a small convoy. Since my bus is ususally the slowest in the group, I'm ususally the one in front so the rest won't lose me. Somewhere around Gwinett everyone started driving circles around me. After a few rounds of this, I decided to floor it and see if they could still do it. After lifting my foot off the gas, the pedal stayed on the floor and the Jolly Rancher kept on speeding up. I got up to about 75MPH with the engine SCREAMING before I decided to turn the engine off. My goal was to kill the engine and hit the clutch at the same time. I missed the clutch and the result was a loud BANG and a 10 foot flame shooting out the tail pipe. Coasted to the side of the highway and unstuck pedal. My bus restarted fine the rest of the trip was uneventful.

Is anybody going up Sunday morning. I will prolly go up hwy 11 thru winder to jefferson over to Gville. We had to live there for about three years and i never knew they were around. Im gonna try and go sunday siince im not going to Bham to the bug blast i went last year.
