Bugs 4 Christ is speaking at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Macon, GA Dec. 11 at 11AM

Hey guys, we're going to be guest speakers at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 5455 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA 31216-5527.  I was hoping that maybe we could get some VW's to come down and help us out with a car display in front of the church, in the parking lot.  We love to go and talk to church's about the things we do, and how we build object lessons for teenagers around restoring a VW and restoring yourself as a person, and how those to correlate.  We usually have 4-6 VW's to park to draw attention to the church, and to give the people that belong to that church something to look at, something to talk about, and something to share.   We were hoping that maybe, if some of you weren't doing anything Sunday morning, you'd drive down and help out, give us a really good showing.  The church itself isn't too far off of the Hartley Bridge Rd. Exit in Macon, which is the last exit before the end of 475 South, just as it merges back to 75 South.  It's not that far for some of you guys.  Maybe after we talk we can all cruise over and have lunch somewhere close, invade a restaurant.  If anyone has questions, feel free to msg me or call me.  It's Darrell , or John 478-297-7180.  We'd like for cars to be there around 10AM to setup and park.

It'd be great if you could. After service there is a shopping center or two just a mile or two away, at the Hartley Bridge Rd. Exit on I75, and I know there's like Mcdonalds, Zaxbys, Wendys, etc....it'd be great to cruise over and invade a spot with VW's and eat some lunch

Thank you in advance. We should have hopefully 5 or so of our own VW's there and a VW Trike that one of our guys built, so the more the merrier.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the cars that came out today. We had our vehicles: 71 Super Beetle, 72 Beetle, a Trike, a 72 Super, and my Square, then Sonia and Michael showed up with theirs and two guys on here from Warner Robins came out with their 65 and 61. Thanks to the three that came out with their cars from here, we appreciated the extra cars. It was great to see people walking outside of the Church and talking to everyone about their cars, and y'all all were very nice talking to each and everyone that wanted to talk.

wish i could have made it. had to spend the day figuring out some wiring issues. all of my rear lights went out. got it figured out.

No worries. I'll post the next ones we're gonna do too. It's just awesome to see a big group of VW's parked in front of a Church, just to see the reactions, the stopping, the looking, etc. Fun fun days

It was a nice trip down there. John's message about/for Bugs 4 Christ was very inspiring. What a great way to reach kids....AC DUBS. Saw some nice cars we hadn't seen before. Met a lot of nice folks. Of course, cruised on over to Wendy's for some lunch. And it was not a requirement that you "go to church", but we did, for the first time in I can't remember when. We will def go again!

Glad to hear it was such a great day- just wished I hadn't been pre-commited to stay at my easel, painting puppy portraits.
