The Polar Bear Run Empty The Polar Bear Run

The last Saturday of the year is the traditional day of the annual Polar Bear Run. Originally this was sponsored by the Georgia Triumph Club, but cars from many different groups show up every year. Several years ago we met up with one of the AL VW clubs and ended up at the Barber museum and racetrack near Birmingham, AL. There will be at least 100 cars for the run, some that you won't see anywhere else. A variety of British, Italian, German, French, Japanese (some stray Miatas and old 240Z's), Swedish, American, almost anything you can think of interesting. The last Saturday this year is New Years Eve, and we are going to end up in Helen and spend the night at Unicoi. The overnight is optional of course, but it should be quite a party, full of interesting cars. Come make the tour if you can, it will be worth the trip. If nothing else, come out to the parking lot before the run and check out the cars. You will not be disappointed. Here is a link:
