Re: 1970 beetle
Looking good, I like that style of seat covers. I imagine whoever sits in the back seat gets a nice back massage when the stereo is up!

Excuse the dirty ass floor my brothers driveway is non existant.... just dirt and rocks.

I remember meeting you and seeing your car at Homegrown earlier this year. The upholstery looks nice. Job well done.

Re: 1970 beetle
Go get some from "HERE", Bus Depot, like $45, they will work better. I got mine from a dealer on eBay and I got what I paid for!
Re: 1970 beetle
its ben a wile since my last post but a lot has happened. il start with tha bad news, i was coming home from work and caught some and water spun out. i hit a suburban and then tha wall. nuthing happened to me bet tha car was more work than i felt i had time to do. heres tha damage
busted!
after looking around for tools and parts to fix the car and realizing it might be to much i looked around for a nother shell, and now i fiind my self back at the beginning.
heres my second chance.
and the swap begins
i started by switching out the front beam. this is the one it came with no problemsjust wasnt as good as the other one froom the wrecked car
then i cleaned it up a little
then i swaped the steering wheel
then it was time to swap the motor didnt get a pic of it in the car
installed the new exaust wile it was out
next i installed the disc brake drop spindles in tha front
i also found some old 60s fenders that were in pretty good condition and i got brand new headlights
then i slaped tha hood and wheels on and it started to take shape
i droped it off at advanced imports for the wiring and after restless waiting i got it back from bobby and continued the backyard transformation.
when you dont have a paint booth a sunny day works fine
after a lot of me and my brother wet sanding priming and a variety of base coats it turned out like this
i have better pics i will post when i get them off my brother's camera
