Re: Crusty, my '67 Squareback
Knocked out a couple of things under the hood- Replaced the blue brake fluid hoses, replaced the steering damper, and the steering coupling bushing- (Thanks to Clyde, Athens German Aircooled).
Before
After
The steering coupler bushing had a Volkswagen part number and VW symbol on it- I'm betting it was the original one
Broke out all the tools

Found it in Asheville, N.C. Thought it matched the patina on the car, kind of like your Kentucky tag

Oh ok, saw the Chattanooga on it and thought it might have came from BAP. It fits the look of the car good!

Re: Crusty, my '67 Squareback
Today, I wrestled the muffler off and swapped the highback seats for lowbacks- couldn't get the seat bases to move, so I just took off the seatbacks and combined 3 sets to make one patina set

The car just looked so wrong with highback seats- I'm sure that someone considered that an upgrade back in the day- but I couldn't wait to reverse it-

Re: Crusty, my '67 Squareback
Yup they look right at home in there.....I am glad that Chris put low backs in Jenny or I would have
So when is this thing coming out? And is that an indy shifter in there?

I've got a few loose ends to chase down, then it'll be a driver-
Picked up the Indy shifter at Y U Buggin- the Beetle that my brother and I shared with my dad had one in it- adjusted right, it's a great shifter!

Re: Crusty, my '67 Squareback
Crusty's got the obligatory amber fog light- I think it's off an old tractor or something
