Halloween Camp out

I would love to take the family, the car show and carnival are just an added bonus.

Lets do McIntosh....anyone know if we can reserve now or what?

And yes Tim, I had noticed about the car show, we can give some dub exposure to the rest of the car folks, and things to do if anybody wants to bring their kids!

Ok, this topic kinda died out. Is everyone still up for doing this and is McIntosh still an ok place? I'm up for it wherever, but I guess if we're still wanting to do it, we need to get a firm headcount so we can try to reserve some space somewhere.

So far we had down for camping:

Bryce and Ashley
Michael and Sonia
Doodle and Tracey
Shaky and maybe Amy
Bob and maybe Pennie

so that's 10 (maybe 12). If anybody above can't make it, just let us know.

Well a lot of stuff has gone down around the ole sadies house. She had to move well guess I had to as well. But if I can get her going by then heck yea I'm in. She is low. Just ask tim. I might have to come up with a different exhauset

unable got a wedding to go to in Helen that weekend.

Well, called McIntosh Reserve Park today to get more information. The guy I talked to today seemed to know more about what he was talking about than the guy I talked to the first time. Unfortunately, the group rate actually requires 20 people. (he said if we had at least 18 they would let us slide with the group rate).

With either option below there is a $3/per car fee for use of the park. So be sure to add that in when thinking about total costs.

1)Group rate is $3 per person for camping

2)If we don't have enough for a group rate, the regular site rate is $15/site, and that is for up to two tents. So if you had two tents with two people each, that's $15 divided by 4 people for $3.75/person. Still not to bad. He also said the sites are plenty big enough for 3 tents and that the 3rd tent would be $5 additional per site. So that's $20 divided by 6 people which is $3.33 per person.

Ok, here is the crappy part. I mentioned we were planning on doing this the night of the car show and he said the car show is no longer happening
That being said, I'm up for doing whatever/wherever/whenever if plans need to change.

The car show going or not doesn't bother me. I want to camp there so we can do the zip lines at Banning Mills. I am going with the group or without.

I like that attitude!!! He said we can make reservations if we get enough people for the group rate, other than that, they don't do reservations and it's first come/first serve. But I've never seen the camp area "packed out" anytime I've been there, so I don't think we'll have any problems.

Guess I will join yall next time. My friend in Daytona is coming up to visit so I am gonna sit this one out. Thanks for the invites.

No problem Kale! And as Bryce mentioned, Banning Mills is about 10 minutes away from McIntosh Reserve Park. They do Zipline tours which look like a lot of fun.

Also, although the Shriners car show was cancelled, if anybody is coming with their kids, the park is still having their Fall Festival that day with plenty for the kids to do.
