Looking for a machine shop somewhere around griffin that can re-drill my drums to a Chevy pattern or if anyone has some 68 and later drums that are already a chevy pattern

I am wanting the drums drilled and tapped if I get them done, not really interested in getting studs as my wheel will not squeeze in without taking the axle loose

Yeah the front will be needing adapters. The back I am not sure yet. I need to get my hand on an adapter and see. I am thinking that if i run adapters in the rear then to take off and put on the rim I will have to unbolt the axle and lower it so i can get the tire off. Kind of a pain.... I will let you know when I get one adapter from around here and try it out

Most shops will need to see the drums and a wheel and a lugnut to quote your labor cost. Plan on approximately $55.00 per hour.

I found it was cheaper to just buy new drums already drilled with the pattern I wanted (Porsche 5x130)

Not sure what tire size you are running but if you straight axle a bus I dont think you can get out of taking the axle loose. Just food for thought.

Got 15x7 inch rims on it and I don't have to take the axles loose to get them on and off. It takes a minute but they go on and come off.

Thats wild. You must have put the springplates in at stock position and just let the bus be lowered as much as the reduction boxes lower it. My bus has the same set up with a type 3 tranny and I am running 195 60 and there is no way you can get the wheel off with out removing the axle.

One click also. Doesn't look that low but it is one click as I lowered the bus one click with the reduction boxes and just put the offset spring plates in the same location.

Here it is with the stock wheels with the straight axle. Flipped spindle and one outer click but no motor is installed at this point.

not sure. I took my spring plates off and sent them to Wagenswest and when I put it back together I put the bottom of the spring plate a half inch from the lower stop. I did not adjust the inner splines at all. The front is all Wagenswest. 4" beam adjusted about half way down with drop spindles. I am running 195 50's on the front.
