Need recommendation on good mechanic/shop please....
I have a 1957 "Vintage" Porsche speedster replica with a 1600 cc engine. The car only has 4k miles and is titled as 1968 VW. It was built in 2002. I assume the engine came from the 68 donor car. It makes a lot of valve noise that just started over the winter during periodic startups (needs adjustment?) and it runs really rough due to carb issues. It has a single carb. I would like to get the car running well, and look at converting to a dual carb set up. I took the car to a shop in Roswell last year and unfortunately did not have good luck. They installed an electronic ignition and tried to tune the carb...... Any recommendations? Thanks. Greg in Cumming/Alpharetta Georgia

The best engine/drivability guy I know is Steve Sands at Pro Flow Performance. His number is 770-653-2436 and his shop is located in Hiram.

Thank you for the responses. Has anyone had any experience with Vintage VW in Jasper? Greg
