Cali or Bust !

Who's planning on making the Classic this year ? Looking for details as far as dates/flying/driving/lodging etc ! I REALLY REALLY want to make this show...no better year than 2011, right ??!?!?

When is it? We're doing a 3 week family road trip this summer. I'd love to throw in a VW show along the way too.

Its June 10-12 w/ TONS of other shows/events packed in. What a COOL fam vaca !

Haven't been since 2002! We had a blast, but if we go again, we have to take everyone! Already promised that to the kids. You know my kids are VW Nuts too, can't leave them at home again! But the cost of all of us going, ummmmmmmmmmmm not going to happen this year, unless we win the lottery!

It is alot of fun, especially when you are sharing a condo with 8 other people! Right Raymond?!

Thats exactly what Im looking for as far as shacking up and saving $$$ !!! Considering going ahead and buying plane tixs considering gas prices aren't going down anytime soon. (props to C for suggesting that)

C is correct on those tickets. Maybe if you get some others that are going then yall can share a car and room. My parents had timeshares, so I just used that and it was like $175 for a week, so we just split that 8 ways! Went to the store and had all sorts of food in there, but we DID take advantange of all the free food the open houses were doing. Hey just adultnap me & LJ so we can go too!

I would never fly to the classic while I own a VW. I was planning to drive last year but have no plans to do so this year. Usually I can only manage 2 weeks off in a row so it's difficult to manage that and still have a good time.

Agreed ! BUT... btw kids, school, sports, work, etc. etc. etc. I cant manage more than a weekend @ a time off ! Beats not going at all. Figuring SOMEONE can hook us up w/an aircooled ride for a day or two ! (I'll even ride biotch since my driving record isnt the bestest)

Still not sure if I'll cruise out with ya Justin. I want to but not sure of the time restraints just yet. It will be a tight fit, all us sleeping in Clark!

we can put a air bed on the roof rack an it wont be as cramped then my dog might would even share the front seat with you if it gets to cold

We're doing both the Classic week in June and Vegas in October

For the Classic week we have a hauler lined up.... $750 a dub from Atlanta delivered to Cali.........we're driving them back East after the classic


If anyone else is interested in hauling their ride out there for the Classic, just let either myself or Chadd know

Would LOVE to roll with ya'll Kat....I'll just be taking a long weekend for the show though.

Bummer. We have family reunion in Utah July 11-14. Don't think I'll be able to fit the show in.
