pre heater help
I have been iceing over so i pulled my intake to find the preheater clogged i have tried to run a hanger chucked up in a drill with no avail it keeps breaking off so now its soaking in carb cleaner help....

carb cleaner should get it also make sure the flange in the header is not blocked off

coat hanger probably won't work. I've always had luck with a braided wire. Last time I used an old e-brake cable. Frayed the ends just slightly, and put it in the drill. If you are using a long cable, it'll be a little hard to get started, but once it gets going, it works great.
Find a thick braided wire (e-brake cable, clutch cable, etc...) and give that a try.

i finally got it went to ace and got some 1/4 in braided cable and a bottle of liquid plumber worked wonders...

bro its a bitch.. honestly if i whould have known that i could get a bnib intake from foreign American auto parts in dalton for 40 i whould have just got a new one..

Haha, I've felt that way too after cleaning a tough one. Good news is that now that you've done it, if you need to do it again in a few years, it won't be that bad. You'll only be fighting 2-3 years of build up versus the probably 10-20 years that you just fought through.
