1970 Bug for Cave

This is my 70. It was the first VW I ever drove when I was 15. I can remember riding in as a young kid around 9 or so with my dad, brother and 2 cousens. Its solid and I have the original paperwork from the day is was bought enw in Rome Ga.

Those skirts look familiar.

Well I got the Speakers in the doors replaced and one pop out rubber replaced. Working on the other rubber tonight.

Today I got the Empi GT Steering wheel installed today. Also got the 2 liter Fuchs (true Porsche) mounted on the front. Have to get the tires mounted on the rear wheels. Hope to have them on tomorrow evening.

This is how it stands today. Tim Baker is going to do a beam and drop it for me soon. Will be good not to have "nose Bleeds" from the altitude.

Pulled the gas tank and it has rust holes in the bottom . So I have a 1 gal lawn mower tank in it now so I can move it around some of I need to.

Mew tank is in and I also put on a new set of pea shooters! The old ones were rusted out and sounded bad.

Well Today I got the Hitch and lights for the trailer finished, rewired the tag light, Hooked up the tach, installed the T Shifter with the 2 step button, and fixxed the Horn. Now to get the MSD in and the 2110 done. Also got a set of front Disk Brakes from a Ghia today. Oh and i found out my POS jack leaks down while you are under the car. Have to work fast!!!!!!!!

Those discs won't work with those dropped spindles.

Got spindles and disks. Thats gonna put the adjusters a little loewr but still be able to keep it down.
