Re: Names of your cars
I was going to name mine Gretrude as well. But I almost forgot that was my Wife's Grandmothers name, who was born and raised in Munich. So I went with Wilma for my '59 Bug to play it safe.

How about Mushi? It's the Japanese word for beetle. This is the character for it. 虫ASBug wrote:Looking for name suggestions for the Jap Beetle.

Old Yeller- seemed fitting for my cars personnality.
Never named a car before- but after owning her for nearly 20 years, she earned that one!

Re: Names of your cars
My 68 bug is Willy. I wanted a girly name but Melanie had already named it, and since some folks already knew it as Willy....it just stuck
We have always called our 82 Scrambler "Nina".
If I ever get me another 66 bug, I want to call HER "Willow".

Send me the character as a .jpg or a .tiff.
My computer didn't have Japanese Sans Sarif font so all I see is a small Square (虫), unless that IS the symbol... LOL.
