Kip's, Bulli, Bug Jam Weekend Nov. 12-14

So what's your plan for the trip down to Bug Jam Weekend?

Last year we left McDonough/Summit at 6pm, stopped in Hahira and crashed at Buckholts for the night and then continued on Friday. Hope to do it again this year!

im leaving on friday at noon when i get off work then after the show sunday or monday tracy an me are going to to the aztec and ride to KEY WEST ANY ONE ELSE UP FOR THAT

We are headed down Thurs. morn about 6:30 am.. gonna try to make the carlos cruise Thurs night.

Leaving at sun up on Thursday. Stayin on the beach till the next Wed.

We already have off from work Thursday and Friday, so we are thinking about heading down super early thursday morning. We're not 100% sure we'll do this, but we do already have a place booked on the beach for Thurs and Friday in case we do head down early.

I'll be goin to Buckholtz place thur afternoon. Also goin to Key West {Bahia hondo state park} on Sun afternoon. probably drive couple hours on Sun and arrive Mon. Bumblebuggy also goin to Key West as far as I know.

It looks like we will be leaving on Thursday. Not sure what time but I am sure it won't be any later than noon

I say it to everyone every year and I'll say it again...If you plan on making this trip with us you need to have your car ready to go now. Don't be hammering on your car until the day of the trip. You need to have it done a week early and get some miles on it (100 or so with some highway driving) before you take it on a thousand mile road trip. Almost any major issues will show up in the first hundred miles or so. We'll be leaving Summit Racing on Thursday afternoon to make the trek south the same as we did last year at a time to be determined.

that's right you don't break in a fresh build on a 400 mile trip an not expect something to happen

Bulli is just over a month away. I'm looking to see who is cruising down with our group on Thursday. Our usual trip starts @ Summit Racing and ends @ the Buckholts party compound near Valdosta. Drinking and bonfires usually dominate the festivites for the evening and the trip contiues Friday morning to Kip's party in Bradenton. I'm thinking departure time will be about noon from Summit. All are encouraged to join the convoy. I love to see VWs rolling deep down I-75.

I have one thing to ask that we change, the meeting place. Last year the parade was long and it took forever to get through and out of their parking lot. Lets meet at a better place and leave about 5pm. That way we can get going in more daylight and have a longer time to party at Dave's.

On that note, thanks Dave for having us again, last year was a blast! Fantastic memories.

What was the name of the hotel near Kip's?

I am in just got to figure out where i am staying

5pm? I think you're feeling sick and won't make it to work on Thursday. I'd like to get out early this year (noonish).

I agree about the jam trying to get out of Summit but it's a good place to meet and there is plenty of intersate to catch the group if we get separated by a traffic light or two.

I have not heard from Dave or Sandra yet so I'm not positive we've been invited this year. I'm planning that we are invited but as soon as I know something for sure I'll post it up.

We need to leave no later that 12 I think.

when leaving Summit you can go out the back way and take 42 to Locust Grove. this will be easier to get out and it is heading south. just a suggestion.

Life is a female dog and mine is double that right now. Seems like everything at my house and my cars are falling apart. Kind of hard to fix my hobby car and let the other stuff at the house go by the way side. Trust me I'm trying to figure out how to go but it doesn't look like it's in the cards right now.

Hope my wife dont see your second and third sentences sounds like our life ......lol
