Well there has been a little more done to the buggy.... cheers

Have gotten some of the smaller peices painted....
And today we had some folks over that helped to set the body on the frame....

Thanks.I kinda like it myself. Laughing

The steering column is a modified tilt out of a camaro.
Had to take it apart and take a few inches out of it then put back together.
And a tilt column is a FUN job to do...... scratch

yeah it's a bus shifter mated to a scat shifter with reverse lockout(little silver handle)........
kinda my take on the rat fink look....

type 4 motor what size is it it doesn't mater the stock 1600 i put in th purple one i built will fly i no the type 4 will push it

Been awhile since i posted on any progress..... Rolling Eyes

But the piper has a running engine(just a 1600 DP) cheers

Tranny seems to work okay...goes through all gears Shocked

Wiring is almost complete(just need to get a speedo installed) Cool

Started bleeding the brakes today....need to fix a leaking line and that will be done scratch

So hopefully in the next week or so i'll be riding around....
making that statement with my fingers crossed...

Okay it's official I'm a certified VW owner now. Very Happy

Used a part from a Bic pen to fix a small problem today.... Shocked

Between last night and this morning got several things on order and should be in by friday...monday at the latest hopefully.
So maybe by next tuesday I'll be able to post a couple new pics that will make a serious change in the looks of the buggy.
