I've had the carb get clogged, and i had to floor it, and ride the clutch to get it to move, but if i let off, the motor would bogg down from being under load, and cut off. not sure. Oh, also make sure his points are still opening and closing. if they dizzy shaft wore them out, it will do that as well. I had that happen to me. i was driving, and it started backfiring, and started loosing power. kept driving, (trying to get home), and eventually, i was just riding the hell out of the clutch, because if it were under load (similar to the above carb issue), the motor would die. eventually, it wouldn't start at all, lol. this was when i had the turbo motor together. at the time, i thought i finally lost compression of somethng, lol. new set of points, and i was back on the road, lol.

i told him to check all that hopefully its that easy

I talked with Callahan, And that's what it sounds to me like. Carb issue or maybe points. Anyone know how to get in touch with Kenny, cause he's in Lagrange, right? I won't be coming back from my trip til Sunday evening.

aww man, that sucks he couldn't get it running. Hopefully it won't be down too long.

Well we got her back to my house and have swapped outthe rotor button (loose) the fuel pump (sporatic) drained the fuel and tried some new changed the cap very puzzled now car will roll fine starts up and idles fine revs fine when siiting but under load it stalls out????????

we found out that it was a clog in his fuel line.

Jolene is back on the road. Like Drew said clogged fuel line and dryrotted under the tank. Callahan and Jolene are on their way home. Yay

yep all good just made it back to school
like drew said it just had some crap in the lines
it died on me on the way here but the coil wire just fell off lol
