friday night drags @ atlanta motor speedway car show and heads up drag racing starts @ 6pm admission is $8.00 per person to get in,if you want to show your car its $20.00 and that includes laps around ams high bank nascar track,if you want to drag race its also $20.00 to race ad practice starts at 6 pm,if you want to race and show it is $30.00

YU BUGGIN june 4th car show
starts @ 9am entry fee is $10.00 per car, $1.00 per person ,and $20.00 to be a vendor,there will be best of's and top 10's that are judged by each person that has a entry ticket ( there will not be judges that only judge cars) peoples choice is what we call it.the awards will be @ 4pm and after the awards there will be a cruize around the speedway,last year we went about 10 laps total and had approx 80 cars on the track,YU BUGGIN was also in HOT VW"S magazine this year

june 5th we are going to meet at summit racing at 8am and cruize to jake raby's show where he has a car show and dyno that he is going to have

The Athens Club Poker Run is early May. It is always on Mother's Day weekend. We aren't a big enough deal to cause you to move your show date, but we do usually have 40+ cars attend.

Circle Your Wagens is also in May.

I would suggest the 15th or 22nd to avoid Mother's Day and Memorial Day.

May would be perfect! The date for this event is something that I was going to suggest we change. If it were earlier in the year we would have a better chance of camping out (cooler). I never checked on the charge for camping through AMS. It's probably what they charge during a NASCAR weekend. Maybe we could talk them into a set rate for this event also. Yeah $10 bucs per camp site but half going to the club. I'd pay that. My fav event of the year, and don't take this the wrong way, is Bug-A-Paluza. Not really the show it self but the entire weekend. Camping, Show, Bands and just hangin out! I would like to see Y U Bugg'n morph into something like that, then it would be #1 on my list. Wait.... Camping, Show, hanging out and a Track cruise, now that's a weekend! Things like this take time and we have only taken our third breath!

One other thing if I may is the awards portion. I realize that this year we were trying to out run the rain but if we could gather everyone together and hand out the awards to the recipients and use their name instead of their register number.

Great idea also to jump on a spot now for AMS. You guys have thought this through.

Don't take anything above personal, I have a butthole/opinion just like the next guy and mine usually sounds off a lot!! Again fantastic job guys and I can't wait till next year.

from the standpoint of some of the younger fellas
may tends to be a pretty busy time end of school finals and so forth
i'd rather see something a little later in the year but thats just me lol

I think early May will be too busy. First weekend is CYW and the second is Mothers Day/Poker Run. The transporter show is the third weekend. Bugout is the 4th. Maybe go back to the 5th weekend of May when there is one or the 1st weekend of June. Although the 1st weekend would be the same as Stevenson Show but there seemed to be a lot of negativity from that show.

just to throw it out there... i heard quite a few people suggesting that the show should have been under the trees adjacent to were we parked this year. this would create a "cooler" (in both meanings of the word) atmosphere for the show. kinda like winterjam when everyone lines up under the trees. or is it a matter of AMS not letting us park there?

and i also think may is too busy, too many shows, too many finals...

Well, what about later in the year? the month of September may be outta the question due to the Nascar race. this is all feedback we WANT to hear,we do want to make this a big show that everyone enjoys. and we wanna make it #1 on Bob's list! lol! we will be improving on many things, each year will improve with everyones help and constructive feedback.

I will not miss this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll do my best to be there whenever we do it. I had a great time. I like the idea of avoiding May and parking under the trees if possible.

one of the reasons to move it is because of the heat,so everyone doesnt have to be under a tree,and later in the year the friday night drags are not going on. so our projected dates would be from last week of april to aug,but thanks this is the imput we need to grow,and yes we will be talking to them about camping prices

Would having it in the pit area where we were on Friday Nite be possible? Out of the sun, and the weather.

I've been to the Dodge show in the infield and it was miserable out there sweating to death. From what I see, they only open the garages for the Friday night thing.

I liked the idea of having it in October, but with the drags not going on that may not bring out as many people. The fall, to me, seems to be a bettertime of year for something like this around here, not too much going on in Ga.

I like the first weekend in June.Generally not freakishly hot and separate from other events except Stevenson. Camping definitely needs to be addressed.

Seriously. I would love to vend food at this event. Is there some sort of contractual agreement not to serve food?

I like early June as well. We would be awfully close to BugOut, but that is kinda far away in VA. Stevenson has changed its weekend the last two years (was the first weekend in June 2009, was the second weekend in June 2010) So it's a toss up as to when they will have it in 2011. Either way, like Bryce said, I have also read a lot of people were unhappy and planning not to go back. So we could offer an alternative to those folks!

I know how lucrative it can be....I used to vend food in the lot @ Widespread Panic shows....that used to fund a lot of shows on the tour....

I do not think that Stevenson's show will be around much longer...
