Looks nice!
I think you are better off with this one, instead of screwing around trying to fix all crap with the other one!!

Re: My Rides You Guys
]had a wonderful homemade breakfast, got laid but good, read half of my newest novel on economics (im a nerd, don't hate), let the girl get another 30 minutes of drive time in her bug (she's a new driver) by taking me over to the Weird-ohs Shop in Statham (thats our club shop) where my buddy and i transplanted the 66 body to the 59 chassis.
on to the pics!
finished removing the chassis bolts from the 66

helllloooo nurse!!
all thats left is to bolt it all back up. clean it up. transplant the tranny and engine from the 66 chassis to the 59 chassis and replace the window seals. the rest is purely cosmetic. wetsanding, pinstriping, reupholstering, and cruising. hells yeah, gonna be done this week.

Re: My Rides You Guys
Man that 59/66 looks badass... I did give that engine hell, but never gave me a problem, it was my first intro into aircooled and engine build, I have learned a-lot since then... I'm lovin that patina! Cruzin my RHD '66 1300sp around Okinawa and its SWEET. no more big engines for me, my foot gets to heavy and shit starts falling apart. Low-n-slow is the way to go. I have a few traces on some split buses if i could get my hands on one then i could die a happy man. No more frankenbugs just og for me.

Re: My Rides You Guys
good choice joe! i still get a little heart ache whenever i watch a youtube vid of someone with their hot rod bug. but then my nostalgia is eclipsed by the fact that im just too laid back to drive that way. having the power at my fingertips is nice, but it aint my schtick. i can't wait to tear into Sophia tomorrow morning. i hope i feel up to it. had to leave work early today b/c my blood sugar plummeted to a scary low level. hypoglycemia sucks.
