my '70 Ghia

i came across this site so i want to drop in and say hi. i've been a long time ghia owner but never really got involved with the VW clubs or forums...but this place seems like a good place to start.

here's my '70s ghia named Scooter. i got her as my college graduation present for myself 14yrs ago. some of you may have seen her pic on theSamba, i'm looking at selling or trading her for another VW but you really got to pry her out of my hands. she's got sentimental values and i have trouble letting her go!

ekk...that's a 5hr drive from me. too bad i don't have a trailer or else i'd trailer her down there.

cuz i don't want to break down in the middle of the 5hr road trip with ZERO mechanical-survival-skills to fall back on. tho i do have AAA. ...hee....

hey Tim... i need a low budget fixup.... or maybe i should wait.... it's really not a priority i don't think.

and i really really don't want to sell her...but i'm currently unemployed and could use the cash flow, but i know i will regret it the minute i let her go... therefore i had thought about trading her for another VW with the intention of having a big distraction to make it a little less painful....well that's the idea anyway.

Google and Mapquest show a different Centerville. They map to a Centerville down in South Georgia. This Centerville is actually right next to Warner Robins. Should only be just over 2 hours from the Roswell area.

i don't think i can part with Scooter.... i've had a few ppl looked at her for trades & stuff, and it's just agonizing to think that i may have to part with her. so think i'm gonna keep her.

how come it's so easy for ppl to buy & sell cars & i'm having such a hard time??? maybe i'm just too attached!

ok now...who can point me to a good VW shop around Roswell? Scooter can use a tuneup...and maybe get her sneakers shiney.

i took Scooter for some much needed pampering today and Gary took good care of her.
