Nevada Road trip!
I got a buddy that just bought a nice 73 bus on egay located in Henderson Nevada. He is gonna fly out and drive it back. Adventuresome chap! The motor recently had a new fuel pump, filter, oil change, new injectors, new intake hoses, new belt and new plugs.new dist, optima battery, new alternator, new pressure regulator. Any advice on an (emergency) care kit he should take along with him on the nearly 2000 mile trip? Oh yeah and he is a VW newbie.

Re: Nevada Road trip!
and yes, tell him to get AAA. the best service is 200 free miles, for $120 a year. not sure how much an additional 1800 miles would be tho, lol. hopefully if he does break down, it will be atleast within 200 miles of his house.
also tell him to take it easy on the highway. stay at 55 or under. when i came home from BAP, i really didn't want to strain the motor, so i stayed at 55 with my hazard lights on, cuz everyone else was goin 65-70, lol.

The 200 miles deal is only once per year... you only get up to 100 the other three...
if he has to tow it cheapest option would be to rent a penske truck and trailer... Uhaul costs too much... budget and others are okay too, just not uhaul
X boyfriend towed his syncro from MI-NY-FL this way
