Re: What did you bring home from BAP?
nothing major, mostly little things:
-new oil pump cover with one fitting for full flow [$15]
-new heat riser block offs [$4]
-new fittings for full flow [$2]
-new oil cap for aluminum filler neck [$5] (i always loose those damn things )
-Fiberglass front kickpanel covers with hole for speakers [$10] (not the cheapo plastic ones that always crack)
-box of misc engine tins [$8]
-Two Air conditioning Pulleys [$8 for both] (the ones that go over the stock crank pulley to run a second belt for AC)
-New chrome alternator pulley [$10](mine broke at BAP, so i was pretty much forced to swap it out there, lol)
-Two stock single port intakes [$2 for both]
-2 vw hood emblems, and 2 "volkswagen" scripts [$5]
so $69 worth of stuff. not too bad, considering last year i spent about $200, lol.

Re: What did you bring home from BAP?
Tail light lenses, those impossible to find unbent chrome trim rings that go under them on the 1302, unbent! ($5), speaker cover I misplaced ($2), body-pan gasket (15), enough beading to finish my fenders (10), blue brake hose (?), lots of little crap I needed to get Hope finished (PRICELESS). (That's her name, because I've been hoping to drive her for at least 2 years!)

Re: What did you bring home from BAP?
I only was there on Saturday, but it was still pretty tiring. I spent the first 3 hours in the "vendor's section"
I hit the ATM on the way, so I would only spend a set amount of cash, and not use plastic at all.
matching pair of front signal markers, and a seal for one side
a driver's side vent assembly (since a PO put a later model in it with a bum latch)
bumper bracket seals, pin switch seals, door catch seals (gotta keep some of the wetness out for now)
gas gauge with a working cable
muffler installation kit
merged header with side exit pipe (to replace my leaky and crappy 4 tip GT until I hear some more exhausts to choose from)
set of American Eagle center caps ( now the 2 scratched up ones I had are spares )
17mm tranny plug socket
pair of horn grills
a 67 hazard switch knob
a 67 wiper switch knob
a slew of ideas .......
157 shots of random cars
A nice start on my 2010 farmer's tan
and lastly, a great experience ....being that it has been 17 years or so since I have attended an Aircooled car show

Rent money. Thanks, to all of you that bought some of my junk. Went up with a truck and trailer load of stuff and came home with alot less. Almost sold my bus, but my better judgement just wouldn't let me do it.

Re: What did you bring home from BAP?
I brought home alot of chrome parts for the Manx. And great memories of Baps hanging and talking with my G.A.S. & GeorgiaDubs Family. Can't wait for the next get together. Oh that's next weekend at Peace Live & Bugs show. See everyone then and be safe on the road.

After four years of looking, I found a pointed bumper for the Jolly Rancher.
I'm going to have to clean up the Jolly Rancher and start entering shows so your head doesn't get too big.

Re: What did you bring home from BAP?
Side marker for the bus and a goofy hat. And I left a half of a quart of oil between here and there. Oh, and I picked up a nasty smoke smell in the bus that is on day 3 of Fabreeze therapy. (note to self: close the back hatch when up wind from the camp fire)
