Hey my name is Joshua, I own a '73 Standard beetle. I'm new to the forum but not Volkswagens. I've been driving the "Red Baron" since I was a sophomore in high school. I'm currently a junior at Georgia College in Milledgeville.

I might as well do the same. Gabass is Georgia bass as in fish, not grab ass like everyone thinks it is. Most of you have probably seen me around at shows. My real name is Wilson, my father is Clyde Maddox who some of you know, I "work" for Athens German Aircooled Parts (on most weekends), I'm with the Athens VW club and I'm working on restoring my 63 standard beetle (when I'm not restoring speedometers). No my bug won't be lowered and no I won't put a big engine in it, everything will be stock. Dad says I have to appreciate these 80 and 90 hp motors so I'll be driving a 40 horse to school soon Hopefully my next car will be lowered, not slammed, and have a big engine or a drag bug. I don't have a picture but I'm recognizable, I'm the guy who wears jeans on days that are over 100 degrees and you have to look straight up to see my head.

Hello all! Sorry for being lazy on introducing ones self. My name is Donny, i am 34 yrs old, with a beautiful wife and two beautiful god graced girls. Reside in, and also an Alpharetta native. I love vw's(hopefully), although this is my first dub(79 Bay window), the first car i learned to drive was my cousin's 72 beetle.VW's have Always had a special place in my heart but custom trucks were always my priority. Passion still the same now with the Volkswagens but, the atmosphere the VW tribe has is definitely a load more laid back. Although some of my closest friends were made due to Truckin, the VW crowd is starting to win me over.
Limabean (79 Bay) is our bus's nickname. Have had her for almost 2 years. So far, have met some great people and hope to meet many more. Glad to meet you All!  ( Me on left of 1st pic)(Garrett on right) Bump, started a "New Topic" under introductions. Still learning site:D

Hello everyone! My name is Kyle and I'm the 4th owner of my '81 Volkswagen Westfalia. My westy has a Subi 2.2 Kennedy conversion in it thankfully! I'm new to the Volkswagen community but have really enjoyed everything so far! You can find us in the Canton/Woodstock area.
My first and biggest question here is does anyone know a reputable VW shop that could check out my Westfalia that would REALLY know what they're looking at? And also I would need someone who would be able to understand the Subaru engine (I assume that would be a Subaru mechanic) but I don't know. I have all my receipts back to the 80's and all the information on the  '95 Subaru Legacy engine if I was to ever need to bring it to someone. I just don't have that someone!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm so excited to finally own this van and can't wait to see what VANlife has instore for me!

Thanks guys. I actually was reffered to a place very close by my house in Woodstock called J&J Automotive and Joel there has been SO helpful and tedious on every little thing in my van, great place/great guy.
