Re: Callahan's '65
use a hair dryer, gretchen had tint on it since February 1989 (found a receipt for the tint job in the pile of 30 years of receipts) it smelled very bad coming off but it did just that along with a bit of goo b gone.

Re: Callahan's '65
Felicia said she doesn't like the skirts. I dig them.

Re: Callahan's '65
I like them too, only certain cars they look good on though, I agree that it needs to come back down to top them off, I can't say much my carb gets nose bleeds the way Gretchen sits up back there.

Re: Callahan's '65
i'm going to lower it back down after i get some wheel spacers for the rear or some different tires, cause it will def look better all slammed out again
i found some 165/60s so i think i'm going to get some and drop her back down, as soon as it quits snowing that is lol

putting them on the back? If so are you just wanting to over rev your engine?

i'm having no issues with my 185/60s
Re: Callahan's '65
the 185/60s are 23.7"
the 165/60s are 22.8"
165/80 is close to the original size but still a little short at 25.7"
Top end will suffer or your rpms will be much higher but out of the hole you'll think you have a faster car.....

Re: Callahan's '65
i understand what you're saying i know a shorter tire is going to bring the rpms up, and realistically im just thinking outloud here and thanks for the input i'm glad someone is saying something other than "oh cool car that looks good" lol
on the other hand though i've got 40hp i don't exactlly try to put my foot through the floor haha, i pay attention to what my engine is doing when i'm driving the last thing i want to do over rev it, and if that means i go a little slower idc at least i look good doing it lol

Re: Callahan's '65
If you are ok with going slower then that is cool.
I drive my cars hard. Highway and interstate miles. I need that 70-75 mph when I have to. With that said I cruise at 55-65

Re: Callahan's '65
Now all you need is a Golden Lady horn button...like this one http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=886641
But, I don't think it will work on that model wheel. They were made for oval era wheels.

Mount a snowglobe in there and everytime you turn, it'll start snowing. Or one of those old ball maze games to keep you awake on long drives.
