Calling all Georgia Dubs! (Bays and Supers especially)

I've been wanting to arrange a cruise to invade a Summit racing show for some time now. On Monday June 29th Summit will be hosting its usual Monday night cruise in from 6 - 8 PM. On this particular date they will be featuring cars from the 70s in their show. I would like to get as many VWs as I possibly can to meet here on the south side (at a spot to be determined) and roll into the Summit show in force with a 20+ VW convoy. I'm trying to get a feel for how may Georgia Dubs would like to participate. The show is free and you need not have a 70s VW to enter. The 70s cars are just featured on the front line of the show. I would like to get so many VWs in there that we outnumber all the other show cars combined. This may prove futile on a Monday evening but I want to see if we can pull it off.

So who's up for crashing the hot rod party?

OK now we're building some steam. Where are all my north side pees at? Addicts? Boltsdragen? Perfect opportunity to pick up some Rust Bullet or some new Scat stuff.

I would love to join in, and I would if the timing was different. I just cannot make it down there for 6pm unfortunately as I finish work at 5:30pm. Sorry.

I figured that would be a problem for a lot of folks. Still, I know some people can make the time.

My sister is getting married on the 27th. If we get back in town early enuff we could run down in the 71.

Probably a parking lot a few miles up the road. Looking to find one to facilitate travel of the convoy so we can arrive @ Summit together. I have a couple ideas but I'm going to poke around some before I nail it down.

any specific meeting place for sure yet? What about the bp station just down the road? or the sonic that the airheads meet up at? Or do you want it to be farther, so we can have a nice ride down? cmon man. Only 4 days away, lol.

I think we'll meet at exit 218 off I-75 and drive the two miles to exit 216 where Summit is. I'm just trying to find a a spot that will allow us to roll down without getting spead all over the planet by stop lights and turns. As of right now I'm leaning towards either Wal-Mart or JC Penny parking lots. I should have it figured out by the end of the day.

OK meeting place will be the JC Penny parking lot on GA20. Take I-75 South to exit 218. Turn right and JCP will be on the right about 3/4 of a mile down. Depart time will be 5:45pm I Should be there around 5:00pm.

If you're comming from the south turn left off the exit and JCP will still be on the right.
