what timing shoud i use on my 74 super bettle? it has an 009 distributor and im driving in a hot environment 120 degree weather

hot or cold this is it http://www.vw-resource.com/009_dizzy.html If it is not set correctly IE, too far advanced, or retarded, then you will have issues with heat or running poorly. If you are running an 34-pict 3 You should really save some money for an 034 with a vacume advance. I finally figured out how to time mine and I love it.
