Got her back on the ground. Put bearings in the front rotors and adjusted the rear brakes up some. still got some air in the lines and need to get the generator swapped out. Then I should be able to start driving her more often.

Got the generator swapped out tonight and it's a failure. It's only putting out 6.5 volts. So, I guess I'll be looking for an alternator.

Well I guess Bonnie couldn't take the heat. She laid down on me today. loss of power then rattling in the engine. Shut her down but a bit too late. I'm guess I'm done for the season because I can't afford to rebuild my engine and Drew's too.

Sorry to hear that Tim. Ive been struggling to get mine done. I was hoping to have it built by the end of the month then have an outing (work day, get together) what ever you want to call it with the pol and grilling at the house.
Im still shooting for that. Let me know If I can help with anything.

I talked with David tonight and he already has the engine out and started tearing it down. He found the #2 rod was real loose. That explains the rattle but not the loss of power.

Yeah number 2cyl rod bearring was half gone...lol pretty much destroyed the rod and crank...lol the lobe on the cam for that cyl was wore all the way down to nothing???so that explained the loss of power....lol. got a new german reground crank and rods scat mild cam. 87mm pistons and jugs new exhaust. Turned out great can really tell a differance..... Now she back up for sale or trade! Lol
