What size compressor is everyone using?

I'm needing a compressor, and I don't want to get one that won't get the job done.

I'm thinking 60 or 80 gallon, 5 hp, or somewhat close to that.

Any thoughts, has anyone bought a small compressor and then had to sell it and get a larger one? I want to avoid that, and get something for general shop use (air tools, paint guns, etc)

CFM and PSI is useful information too

its all in what you want to spend i used a 30 gal craftsman it got the job done an would run a spray gun it would just get hot i have a 80 gal tank an a 2cylinder pump with a 220 not for sure of power or cfm its something i put together it never gets below a 100 psi BIGER IS BETER

60gl, 5hp, 125psi, 13.5cfm@90psi, 11.5cfm@40psi It's a Kobalt brand.

This is the one I have and I have used it with a DA sander and it kept up fine. It also has a 100% duty cycle and good CFM.
